Dumitru ‘s review Oct 10, The book encomprises a lot of Camus’ work, so I won’t go up to talking about it all. Not all sisfi here are long enough to have what to talk about anyway.

I didn’t expect The Stranger to be so short. And probably because of the translation I didn’t get a fluent reading.

The character is just a man who cares about himself. Put in certain circumstances, this takes him to his death through a simple case development. Things no one cared are put in the balance of his life and death.

“Absurdul e rațiunea lucidă care-și constată limitele.”

The story just tells half of what everyone is. Simple, concise and somewhat anoying. The Plague, on the other hand, is a real story about how people live when put in extreme but almost the same as everyday life conditions. This is what a plague brings to a town. Same thing every day, only being separated from the rest of the world. Up to a certain point, when people tend to go nuts and lose control of everything, even of their own mind.

Also the story goes as far as to show the xamus of certain people who kept their cool and started fighting the plague, imaginary and real, in their heads and in their, and not their in some case, town.

A story that gathers all feelings in a single place and clashes them head on with the others. I really liked The Fall. Reading how a man describes migul own decay is always interesting.

Quote by Albert Camus: “Absurdul e rațiunea lucidă care-și constată lim”

People tend to be like this. They don’t see how others hate and envy what they have. The narator was in the same place, long ago before telling his life. A real decay at a point, but a controled fall in the vision kitul the one who had to live through it.
